1. Scope of Application

This Policy applies when you register, sign in, or use features including social interaction, chat, video, moment publishing, city chat rooms, and notifications.

2. Categories of Information We Collect

2.1 Account and Identity Information

For registration, login, and identity verification, we may collect:

  • Login email address (Email OTP)
  • Phone number (WhatsApp OTP)
  • Third-party login identifiers (for example, necessary identity data returned by Google login)

2.2 Profile Information

Information you voluntarily submit on your profile page, including but not limited to:

  • Nickname, age, gender, personal introduction
  • Avatar image and primary profile image
  • Language preference and regional information (province/city)

2.3 Content You Publish or Generate

  • Chat content (text, images, voice)
  • Moment content and comments
  • Messages in City Room chats
  • Friend request and relationship interaction data

2.4 Device and Technical Information

To ensure service availability and security, we may collect:

  • Device model, operating system version, and App version
  • Push notification tokens (for example, FCM token)
  • Network request logs, exception logs, and necessary runtime logs

2.5 Location Information

With your authorization, the App reads location information for:

  • Nearby people display
  • Distance-based features
  • City/province-based matching and local city room capabilities

3. Purposes of Processing

We process information only to the extent necessary to provide product functions, maintain security, and improve services, primarily to:

  • Register accounts, authenticate sign-in, and manage sessions
  • Display personal profiles and social relationships
  • Provide core features including chat, translation, voice, video, moments, and city chat rooms
  • Send message notifications and system notices
  • Conduct anti-abuse controls, risk management, troubleshooting, and security audits
  • Comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations

4. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We only share or disclose information where necessary in the following circumstances:

  • Necessary processing with infrastructure, cloud, and push service providers to deliver services
  • Disclosure required by law, regulation, supervisory requirement, or lawful judicial request
  • Protection of user and platform security, including prevention of fraud and abuse

5. Cloud Storage and Data Processing

Certain user-uploaded resources (such as avatar and moment images) may be stored in cloud services (for example, object storage).

We implement access controls, least-privilege principles, and encrypted transmission to protect data.

6. Data Retention Period

We retain information for the minimum reasonable period necessary to fulfill service purposes. After such period, data will be deleted, anonymized, or de-identified unless otherwise required by applicable law.

7. Account Deletion Mechanism

We provide account deletion functionality. After a user initiates and confirms deletion, an irreversible deletion process will be executed.

The deletion scope includes data and resources directly associated with the account (subject to actual system implementation), including for example:

  • User profile records
  • Friendship records
  • Request relationship records
  • User content records (such as moment content)
  • Chat room creator records (where applicable)
  • Cloud-stored image resources (such as profile and moment images)

Upon completion, the client performs logout and local session cleanup.

Please note: account deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed.

8. Your Rights

You may exercise the following rights through in-app features (subject to applicable law and product capability):

  • Access and correct personal profile information
  • Update avatar, primary image, introduction, language, and notification settings
  • Delete your account and request deletion of related data
  • Withdraw certain permissions (for example, location, camera, microphone) via system settings

9. Protection of Minors

The App is intended for adults. If your jurisdiction imposes a higher minimum age, you must satisfy local legal requirements. If improper use by minors is identified, we may impose restrictions or perform data cleanup as appropriate.

10. Security Measures

We adopt industry-standard safeguards, including but not limited to:

  • HTTPS encrypted transmission
  • Authentication and session mechanisms
  • Access permission controls
  • Anomaly monitoring and log auditing

However, no system can guarantee absolute security.

11. Third-Party Services and SDKs

The App may use third-party capabilities (such as map location, push notifications, third-party login, and audio/video calling) to provide services. Relevant third parties may access limited data within the scope necessary for processing. We require such parties to comply with applicable laws and data protection obligations.

12. Policy Updates

We may update this Policy due to legal/regulatory developments or product changes. In case of material changes, we will notify you through in-app notices, website announcements, or other reasonable means.
